The Speirs Centre - from the outside
The conference will be held in the Speirs Centre at Palmerston North Boys' High School (PNBHS) in Palmerston North. The city is inland and about 140 km north of the capital, Wellington. Palmerston North is New Zealand's seventh largest city and eighth largest urban area, with an urban population of 83,500 (June 2015 estimate).

Palmerston North City boasts a fresh, vibrant and connected urban environment within a compact CBD. The city is easily accessible with regular flights from all major centres, and is within easy drive from Wellington, and central and lower North Island destinations.

As a growing hub for the lower North Island, Palmerston North City offers the sophistication and diversity of a major city with all the freedom and space of a provincial centre. Museums, heritage collections and art galleries are prominent, and go hand in hand with the colourful array of cafes and dinning options that will take your taste buds on a tour of the world. A year-round calendar of events keeps the city alive and humming, from motorsport mayhem to urban festivals of creativity and music that bring the streets alive with their colour and sounds. An internationally recognised theatre scene provides entertainment for all genres, while the local music scene thrives with a mixture of mainstream and ‘underground’ venues that cater to wide and varied tastes. Come and discover what this city has to offer!
